For this month’s post I had big plans… Instead between garden works and the very little desire to stay at the PC, here I am with a quick post that finalized the one of a few months ago. I finally managed to finish the cushions for the sofa / bed in the study.

I bought this fabric some years ago for a project that I didn’t finalized.. But it turned out to be perfect for this!
The idea was to camouflage the study bed a little, making it a sofa. Not the most original choice, I know, but it is always functional.
To make the cushions we used the stuffing of an old sofa for a total recycling project!
I must admit it was a nice job, cutting the pillows, lining them (always lining the foam for the pillows as it makes the insertion in the pillowcase much easier) and making the pillowcases took me a few nights but it was worth it.

Per il post di questo mese avevo grandi progetti e invece… Invece tra lavori in giardino e poca voglia di stare al PC eccomi qui con un post veloce veloce che completa quello di qualche mese fa. Sono finalmente riuscita a finire i cuscini per il divano/letto dello studio ☺️
Avevo da parte questa stoffa da anni, l’avevo comprata per un progetto che poi non si è concretizzato.. Ma si è rivelata perfetta per questo!
L’idea era quella di mimetizzare un po’ il lettino dello studio facendolo risultare un divano. Non sarà la scelta più originale ma sicuramente è funzionale.
Inoltre per fare i cuscini abbiamo usato l’inbottitura di un vecchio divano puro riciclo 😎
Devo ammettere che è stato un bel lavoro, tagliare i cuscini, foderarli (foderate sempre la gommapiuma per i cuscini rende l’inserimento nei copricuscini molto più semplice ) e realizzare i copricuscini mi ha portato via qualche sera ma ne è valsa la pena 😀
