We are again in lockdown due to Covid-19 (I am writing this for future reference because I hope this situation will end soon ..) as in almost all Europe and in most of the world.

This time, however, we tried not to be caught unprepared, we applied the golden rules learned in March during “phase one” :

• A lot of radio, for us Radio Deejay marks the passage of time, at work as at home, thay made such a great work this year.
• A reliable source of information: Il Post. Discovered in phase one, it never let us down (we subscribed of course! :-))
• No TV or very little, just Prime, Netflix and some good movies.
• A really long “to do list”. We wont to let time slip away thinking only about the negative things ..

Among the things to do, the most demanding, the biggest job was to arrange the study. Until 20 days ago it was the place in which things were stacked, the only room in the house not yet whitewashed, the one in which we would open only one of two windows because the second was broken since… always.

In short, it was our great challenge 🙂 In these 20 days we have arranged the window, designed and completed the plasterboard wardrobe, assembled the doors and the bed, I sewed the mattress cover and the pillows. Of course there are still some finishing touches but in essence it is over!

So here I am, doing “wheel like a peacocks”, as of this room we are really proud!
And be here writing with everything beautiful, new and clean, with the scent of paint.. Still seems impossible to me.

Da circa 20 giorni (lo scrivo a futura memoria perchè spero che questa situazione si sistemi al più presto..) siamo nuovamente in lockdown da Covid-19, come in quasi tutta Europa ed in gran parte del mondo.

Questa volta però abbiamo cercato di non farci cogliere impreparati, abbiamo applicato le regole d’oro imparate in “fase uno” a Marzo:

• Molta radio, per noi Radio Deejay scandisce il passare del tempo, al lavoro come a casa.
• Una fonte attendibile di informazione: Il Post. Scoperto in fase uno e mai più abbandonato (ovviamente abbonati! 🙂 ).
• Niente TV o comunque molto poca, solo Prime, Netflix, bei film e serie.
• Una bella lista di “cose da fare” per non lasciare che il tempo scivoli via pensando solo alle cose negative..

Tra le cose da fare, quella più impegnativa, il lavoro più grande che avevamo in programma era quello di sistemare la cameretta, o studio. Cioè quel luogo che fino a 20 giorni fa era una specie di terra di mezzo, in cui erano accatastate cose in ordine sparso… L’unica stanza di casa non ancora imbiancata, quella in cui di due finestre se nea priva solo una perchè la seconda era rotta.. da sempre.. Una stanza che avrei voluto tenere chiusa se non fosse che ci si deve passare per raggiungere la mansarda.. Insomma, una bella sfida 🙂

In questi 20 giorni abbiamo sistemato la finestra, progettato e completato l’armadiatura in cartongesso, montato le ante ed il letto, ho cucito il coprimaterasso ed i cuscini. Certo mancano ancore alcune rifiniture ma in sostanza è finita.

Quindi eccomi qui quindi, a fare la ruota come i pavoni, perchè di questa camera, siamo veramente mooooolto orgogliosi!! Ed essere qui a scrivere con tutto bello nuovo e pulito, il profumo della vernice, mi sembra ancora impossibile.
