Some days ago we had a X-mas dinner with some friends. We love to have friends at home, even if this period of the year is quite stressfull (the shop is open  7/7). We tried to made thinks day by day and we were able to manage everythig, not a bad result (planning is the key 😜).

I was able to decorate the fireplace too (do you remember our “old new fireplace”?), I’ve thought about this for the entire last year but I’ve to admit I’m proud of the result! I didn’t thought that some candles could made such a nice admosphere.
I used all candles and candlestick I had, I choosed white and gold to have this Nordic effect, something that reminds me of Copenaghen.

I’ve also used some of last year decorations. So, I worked on it for a week, putting and removing things but at the end the entrance was much more cozy than usual.

Actually the real subject of this post are washitapes. I’ve bought some tapes during the last year (some are mum’s gift) but I didn’t use them until a few days ago when I was looking for a way to decor X-mas gifts bags. The result was so nice that I had to share it 😊
Also in this case, as for candles, is incredible how easy could be!! If you want to try, you will see 😉. All you need are: bags, tags and washitapes, everithing avaiable on Amazon.

Un paio di sere fa abbiamo ospitato alcuni amici per una cena di auguri. E’ sempre bello avere gente a casa, nonostante il periodo sia piuttosto pieno (negozio aperto 7/7) e la stanchezza si faccia sentire. Abbiamo pianificato tutto discretamente bene e siamo riusciti ad arrivare alla serata senza stress eccessivo. Un risultato niente male.

Sono anche riuscita ad allestire il camino (vi ricordate del nostro “nuovo vecchio camino“?), era un anno che ci studiavo e devo ammettere di esserne piuttosto orgogliosa! Non pensavo che le candele potessero riscaldare così tanto l’atmosfera, a volte basta veramente poco.

Ho sfruttato tutte le candele accumulate negli anni e relativi porta candela, mi sono limitata al bianco e all’oro per avere un effetto ‘nordico’ sarà Copenaghen che mi è rimasta negli occhi.

Ho anche aggiunto qua e la alcuni dei decori dello scorso anno. Insomma ci ho lavorato per un po’ ma alla fine l’ingresso si è rivelato molto più accogliente del solito.

In realtà pero questo post voleva essere una lode alla versatilità dei washitape o nastri decorati che dir si voglia. durante lo scorso anno ne ho comperati alcuni (altri sono un regalo della mamma) ma non li avevo ancora sfruttati bene. Questo Natale invece ci ho decorato i sacchetti per i regali e l’effetto è stato così carino che non potevo non condividerlo.
Anche in questo caso, come per le candele, è incredibile quanto poco ci voglia!! Se volete rubare l’idea fate pure, i sacchetti ed i bigliettini per gli auguri li ho  acquistati su amazon mentre i nastri li avevo trovati da lidl.
