I think this is a classic “end of the year” feeling, when you start thinking: “What I’ve done in these 365 days?”and the first answer is “nothing” as life is so fast some times that you had difficulties remembering things once done.

So here I am writing about a thing we have done.

On June the 18th, in Colico, on Lake Como, we organized the first edition of: “Belle Epoque sul Lago, eleganza in movimento” (“Bell’Epoque on the lake, elegance in motion“) A gathering of two and four-wheeled vehicles from the beginning to the 1950s, with drivers and passengers in vintage clothing.

We were able to do this thanks to the support of our car and motorbike club (the Valtellina Veteran Car), with the contribution of the Municipality a nd Proloco Colico. With the participation of many friendly clubs who believed in the idea and came, bringing vehicles and people.

It was a good seven months of work, which is impressive to say, but considering all the things we have done isn’t even that much..

We tried to do as many things as possible ourselves, from graphics to prints, from prizes to parking signs. We tried to think about everything and then realised that we had forgotten some things.. But the day was beautiful, really! Nice people, nice atmosphere..

Among the things we did, one was also work-related: the gifts for the ladies. We made this exclusive silver pendant starting from the hand-made wax model. (If you are interested, you can see some photos on our Instagram page 😍)

Sapete quando si comincia a pensare all’anno che finisce e non ci si ricorda più delle cose fatte? Quando sale quella sensazione di.. non ho fatto niente?! Com’è possibile che sia volato via così velocemente?! Ecco. Questo post nasce per ricordarmi che invece, qualcosa l’abbiamo fatta…

Il 18 giugno di quest’anno a Colico, sul lago di Como, si è tenuta la prima edizione di: “Bell’Epoque sul lago, eleganza in movimento” un raduno di mezzi a due e quattro ruote dagli esordi agli anni 50, con conducenti e passeggeri in abbigliamento d’epoca.

E si, l’abbiamo organizzato noi! Con il supporto del nostro club auto e moto (il Valtellina Veteran Car), con il contributo insostituibile e la disponibilità di Comune e Proloco Colico. Con la partecipazione di molti club amici che ci hanno creduto e sono venuti, portando mezzi e persone.

Sono stati sette mesi abbondanti di lavoro, che a dirlo fa impressione ma da quando abbiamo iniziato a parlarne a quando tutto si è concluso credo sia passato più o meno quel lasso di tempo. Che poi forse, tutto sommato, non è nemmeno così tanto se pensiamo a tutto quello che ruota attorno ad un evento pubblico..

Abbiamo cercato di fare noi il più possibile, dalle grafiche alle stampe, dai premi ai cartelli per il parcheggio. Cercando di pensare a tutto ed accorgendoci poi di aver dimenticato qua e le.. Ma la giornata è stata bella, bellissima! Belle le persone, bella l’atmosfera..

Tra le cose fatte da noi, in maniera più o meno professionale, una è stata anche lavorativa: gli omaggi per le signore, quelli si fatti proprio a mano da noi nella nostra bottega 😍
