For a few years now, we’ve enjoyed going to the sea at the end of the season, late October, early November. We’ve been to France, Liguria, Puglia—all splendid places—but it’s Sardinia that has enchanted us.

So this year, we returned to Sardinia. We flew to Alghero and spent four days enjoying the sea, nature, history, and landscape. And our passion for this wonderful land continues to grow.

This year, we found a truly special place to stay. It’s called “Rifugio di Mare,” created from the restoration of a former military site at Punta Giglio. It’s the only building within the nature reserve. You can reach it on foot or by electric shuttle, and it’s an absolutely magical place.

If you enjoy tranquility and love the sea without pomp, noise, or distractions, this is the place for you. Simple, clean rooms, plenty of books and no TV, an excellent restaurant, and a staff that feels more like family than a team. For us, it was truly like finding a refuge from the hustle and bustle, where we could rediscover tranquility and beauty.

Than one day you happen to come across a familiar profile…

and discover the life of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in Sardinia thanks to a small museum hidden inside a watchtower. And this is how this quickly becomes one of your favorite places in the world.

During our last days at Rifugio di Mare, we were the only guests, and everything became even more special and familiar. A really wonderful experience.

Ormai da qualche anno ci piace andare al mare sul finire della stagione, fine ottobre, primi di novembre. Siamo stati in Francia, Liguria, Puglia, tutte località splendide, ma è la Sardegna che ci ha incantati. Così quest’anno siamo tornati in Sardegna. Abbiamo volato su Alghero e passato quattro giorni tra mare, natura, storia e territorio. E la passione per questa terra meravigliosa non fa che crescere..

Quest’anno poi abbiamo trovato un posto veramente speciale dove pernottare, si chiama “Rifugio di Mare” nasce dal recupero di un ex sito militare  a Punta Giglio. È l’unica costruzione presente all’interno della riserva naturale? Si raggiunge a piedi o con la navetta elettrica ed è un posto assolutamente magico.

Se vi piace la tranquillità e volete godervi il mare senza sfarzi, rumori e distrazioni questo è il posto che fa per voi. Camere semplici e lineari, tanti libri e no TV, un ristorante ottimo ed un personale che è più famiglia che gruppo di lavoro. Per noi è stato veramente come trovare un rifugio dalla frenesia per riscoprire la tranquillità ed il bello..

La Sardegna in autunno poi è qualcosa di inaspettato e bellissimo! Verdi irlandesi, campagne lavorate e quei profumi..

Gli ultimi giorni a Rifugio di Mare eravamo i soli ospiti, tutto è diventato ancora più speciale, familiare.. Esperienza bellissima..
