August: Swiss

Today it goes like this, 2 posts, 2 trips, 2 historic vehicles… First with the “Giulia” in Slovenia and now with our 1947 “Guzzi” in Switzerland.

If you want to take a motorcycle ride and enjoy the scenery, try the Swiss roads. We did part of the Grand Tour of the Alpine passes. Breathtaking.

We left home in Valtellina, crossed the Bernina Pass, and part of the Engadine to reach Guarda, where we had booked two nights in a small hotel in the village. We visited Scoul and the surrounding area, and the next day we crossed the Flüela Pass to descend towards Davos.

The plan was then to move on to Zerner and Val Müstair. Unfortunately, the forecast was dire, so we took the Bernina Pass back home, dropped off the motorcycle, and resumed our journey by car. We arrived in Müstair in the late afternoon of our third day and continued our journey in pouring rain.

Despite the change of plans, the trip was scenically splendid. Switzerland’s nature is a natural relaxation.

Oggi va così, 2 post, 2 viaggi, 2 mezzi storici.. Prima con la Giulia in Slovenia e ora con la Guzzi in Svizzera.

Se volete fare un giro in moto e godervi il paesaggio, provate le strade svizzere.. Noi abbiamo fatto un pezzo del Grand Tour dei passi alpini. Mozzafiato..

Siamo partiti da casa in Valtellina, fatto il passo Bernina, attraversato parte dell’Engadina per arrivare a Guarda dove avevamo prenotato due notti in un piccolo hotel all’interno del paese. Abbiamo visitato Scoul ed i dintorni ed il giorno seguente abbiamo fatto il Passo Flüela per scendere verso Davos.

Il programma prevedeva poi di spostarci verso Zerner e la Val Müstair. Purtroppo le previsioni erano pessime così abbiamo affrontato nuovamente ol Bernina per rientrare a casa, lasciare la moto, e riprendete il viaggio in macchina. Siamo arrivati a Müstair nel tardo pomeriggio del nostro terzo giorno e continuato il viaggio sotto una pioggia battente.
