Bienno 2024

It seems impossible but my last post on the Bienno market exhibition was 4 years ago. I’ve been there something like 10 times in the last 30 years, and it is always magic.

You can always find something new, a  different way to make or see things. Just two examples here below..

A metal sculpture made from trash look at the wongs to see how the artist used an old typewriter (by Silver Plachesi)…
Necklace and earrings made from old china plate and cups.. @less_wunderkammer

For me it is the perfect combination: a lovely village, great artisans and artists, good food (you need to try all the different types of “Spongada” you will find.. ) and lovely company (for me and my mum is a tradition).

Walking through the village during the week of the exhibition is always magic.

Some of the spaces given to the artist.

What do I take away with me this time? The natural print on silk, the craft jewelry made from old ceramics (see the previous photo) wonderful! And then the inevitable LampaDani the wonderful wool of LilArte and  ceramics, iron, wood, and all the people with that light in their eyes..

I Ferri Animati

Another thing that I love is the participation of the associations, this year we ate at the “Locanda” of Bienno Volley..

So, in short, a beautiful, beautiful day. So, if you are interested write it down, last week of August, Bienno, Italy , it’s really worth it!!

+++ Ita Version +++

Vecchi amori, nuovi artisti.
